Implementation

National research programmes are approved by the Federal Council for scientific research on urgent problems of national importance. The idea behind implementation, therefore, is not just to make the research findings known to the public at large, but to support their practical application in research, policymaking and society.

Implementation therefore encourages networking among researchers and ensures that the research findings are made available to decision-makers, flow into public debate and are made use of in practice.

NRP 58 is amed at the following target groups primarily: Representatives of the national, cantonal and communal authorities, policymakers, representatives of religious organizations and educational institutions, the media and interested individuals.

The NRP 58 will prepare a final report upon completion of the research work. This will provide an overview of the programme, an outline of its most important findings and a critical consideration of the same in the international context.
